Tinted glass alters the passing of heat and light through the pane, by absorbing solar energy to a small degree. Where increased light and thermal control are needed, Reflective and Low-E Glass can be applied.
Reflective glass also absorbs and reflects a large proportion of the sun’s direct heat energy, more effectively than standard tinted glass can. The mirror-like appearance of this Glass is created by applying a metallic coating to the glass, either during or after glass manufacture.
